First of all, thank you very much for showing interest. My name is Corey. I am proud to be a product of the suburbs of New York City. I was born in Rockaway Beach in Queens and grew up on Staten Island.
Pizza was and remains one of the greatest delights in this world; growing up near some of Staten Island's greatest pizza shops and being lucky enough to work in them. I have been in love with the food and beverage business since I was fifteen years old, and here I am, almost thirty-five years later, still in love with it.
I moved to The Bay Area in April of 2003. While I knew that I would miss my family, I was going to miss great New York Pizza sorely. If I ever get a chance to head back east to visit the family, I take full advantage of eating pizza at all the places I've missed from growing up.
When I first moved here, I started tending bar at San Francisco's famous Pier 23. Twenty-one years later, I’ve been fortunate to have worked at places such as The Fog City Diner, The Old Ship Saloon, The Horseshoe Tavern on Chestnut, and currently, the 500 Club.
I was out of work in March 2020—just like the rest of us. I had extra time on my hands, and, unbeknownst to me, I started making pizza dough. I remembered the ingredients from my NY working days and worked at it until I got it right. When the pandemic hit, I started a Facebook page offering free pizza. I made a dozen pies daily. I used my time to bring pleasure to myself and others. It gave me a sense of purpose when nothing was going on.
Since then, it has been back to the grind. That does not deter me from doing my favorite thing—making pizzas and consequently making people happy. I currently showcase my pizzas to neighbors and customers at The 500 Club. So, if you love New York Style Pizza like I do, or care to find out what it's all about, contact me for THE TRUE EXPERIENCE at your next event! I would love to make everyone smile and be satisfied with my pizza.
